Walpole Recreation Department Refund Policy
The Walpole Recreation Department is committed to offering self-supporting recreational programs, event, activities rentals and pools. Due to the expenses incurred for staffing, supplies, and other preparations, we have established the following refund policy:
Refund Guidelines:
Notice Requirement: To receive a refund, participants must provide a minimum of 7 days' written notice prior to the start of the program. Refund requests made with less than 7 days’ notice will not be eligible for a refund or credit, unless otherwise determined at the Recreation Director’s discretion.
Refund Amounts:
Full refunds are generally not available.
Partial refunds may be requested and will be subject to a 20% administrative fee deducted from the total program cost.
The remaining 80% will be refunded by check within 10-14 business days.
Credits: Full credits for future Recreation Department programs will automatically be issued for eligible cancellations. Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable. No partial credits will be issued.
Exceptions to the Refund Policy:
Program Cancellation: If a program is canceled by the Recreation Department, participants will receive a full refund. This includes but is not limited to weather related cancelations.
Medical Hardship: Refund requests due to medical hardships must be submitted in writing along with documentation from a qualified medical professional at least 7 days prior to the start of the program unless otherwise determined at the Recreation Director’s discretion.
We appreciate your understanding and support of the Walpole Recreation Department. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please feel free to reach out.
Pool Rentals
Due to high demand, refunds for pool rentals are only issued for weather or department-related closures. The recreation and pool staff will only cancel if the weather is severe with thunder and lightning. They will not cancel for just rain. Final refund amount is subject to Department discretion, based on when the incident or closure took place.
